Answer: Indeed the Internet has become a worldwide global phenomenon, giving everyone access to a wide range of information. The Internet has allowed people to communicate, organize, and mobilize more quickly and efficiently than ever before. As Lindenshmidt goes on to acknowledge that the architecture of the Internet allows it to be used for virtually any purpose, an enormous benefit to activists. With this wave of free access and use of any data found online, it is becoming much more increasingly difficult to maintain copyright laws. With the increase of copyright infringement; Intellectual property constraints and stricter laws are increasingly reducing the freedoms of what the public are allowed to obtain to their disposal.
