Question: CLIMATE CHANGE The Kyoto Protocol and the UK and European Climate Change Programmes

Answer: This essay looks at climate change, its affect on our world and what we, as a nation can do to slow down global warming internationally, nationally and individually. There has been quite a lot of concern regarding global warming over the last few years which has resulted in several pieces of European Legislation relating to slowing down climate change, reducing air pollution and the protection of the ozone layer. Many of these are considered further in this essay. Probably the most significant international agreement to date though is the Kyoto Protocol which became binding in February 2005 following Russia’s ratification of it.
